Terminator is really a popular badass Linux Command Line Interface that will make your life easier. The number one reason why you want to install this is that it allows you to split your terminal window for multiple actions at a time instead of opening a new terminal anytime you want to use another command without having to close or minimize the current working window.

Terminator is built on the GNOME Terminal, and it is written in Python. It’s available in most Linux distributions and can be installed using the package manager specific to the distribution.

Installation

Type the following command to update your repository

sudo apt-get update
Apt Get Command

Type the following command to begin the installation process:

sudo apt-get install terminator

Once installation is completed, you can access it from the Show App button:

You only need to type “Terminator” in the “Search” text box and click on it:

Usage

Once Terminator is opened, Right-Click the screen to split as needed:
